problems with compiler output windows

Post by JackR »

Hi Jussij,

My evaluation of 3.96n isn't going so well.

The compiler output windows work fine when I first start zeus. After zeus is running for a while (few hours), the compiler output window behaves very strange. Note I always have a compile output window open from the previous compile, I never close them.

-) No vertical scroll bar is painted even though one should have been. I can still scroll with the mouse wheel
-) double clicking produces the "line contains no error" message on the status line
-) I can't fully categorize this symptom since I discovered a workaround ( by accident) and now can't re-produce it again right now. Some of the lines in the window contain duplicate lines from other parts of the window. When I double click, a different line is painted, probably the correct line, but I don't know for sure.
-) Sometimes ( about 1/2 of the 10 or so times I observed this bug), zeus opens a new compiler output window (even though I have the compiler window already open) with the above symptoms, plus Zeus thinks this is a document window and I can edit the compile output.

The workarounds are:
-) re-starting Zeus
-) resizing the window big enough to hold all the compiler output ( I never tried resizing bigger but not big enough to hold all output)
-) Rebuild all also helps. I assume this is because a lot more lines of output are produced.
