I use Ctrl-W to close windows on almost every application on windows, can you add an alias or change Ctrl-- to Ctrl-W ?

Use the Options, Editor Options menu, switch to the Keyboard section, edit the active keyboard mapping and bind Ctrl-W to the FileClose function
