Hi Jussi
I've been using version 3.97d-beta 4 for a while. Recently, I tried turning on the feature to highlight the function names. (Get feature). Now I can easily out type the display painting and macros which use to execute in well under a second take 5 seconds. I turned off the feature and although Zeus no longer highlights the function names, the performance is still very slow. It's as if it is still doing all the background processing, but just not displaying it. I have a 3GHZ Intel Duo Core processor with 2 GB of RAM running XP professional.
Any ideas, or should I just roll back to a previous version?
Thanks!
Jack
very sluggish
additional info
The sluggish behavior I described takes place in a file which is in the workspace ( auto_splice.cpp in this case). If I create a new file ( untitled.cpp ) and copy and paste all of auto_splice.cpp into it, editting within untitled.cpp is very responsive.
I left windows task manager open to view CPU usage. I set up both auto_splice.cpp and untitled.cpp to show a number of lines about 150 characters long ( too long to display) and then typed at the end of the long lines to force horizontal scrolling. CPU usage was the same for both, in the 15% - 18% range.

This issue should now be fixed in the lastest version found here: http://www.zeusedit.com/zforum/viewforum.php?f=6
