Color Options and Line Cursor

Post by ssmith »

v 3.97o

Color Scheme Blue. In trying to "remove" the Line Cursor, I found that when I try to change the background color for Line Cursor, for some reason it does not match the Dark Blue background (it appears almost Black). This is not true of other fields. Thus, there is no way to "remove" the Line Cursor because the background cannot be matched to the Dark Blud background of the "Blue Scheme".

I found an option in Editor Options, "Highlight line containing cursor". I uncheck this to make the Line Cursor go away, which is what my original intent was.

I don't think the problem reported is by design, though, since I can choose another forground color and the background color still doesn't match. But nonetheless, I achieved what I wanted with the Editor Option.

Hi Stephen,

As you found, the correct way to remove the line cusrsor is using the Editor Options menu.
I try to change the background color for Line Cursor, for some reason it does not match the Dark Blue background (it appears almost Black).

What is happening here is the Zeus color grid only contains a very small subset of colors and in this case the background color of the imported theme is not one of those colors.

Now there would be two ways to fix this:

(1) Select the background color category and then double click on any single color in the Zeus color grid. This will let you define a new color to match the missing color.

(2) Edit the imported theme (which is a text file) and change the background color to match one of the colors in the grid, using set one to find out value of that color.

Cheers Jussi
