And, if so, can you make the link to the last version of 3.96(s?) available again. The link seems broken.
The older 3.96s version can be found here: http://www.zeusedit.com/z300/ze32v396s.zip

But Zeus does use XP Styles :!: Zeus is built with a manifest file which is one of the Windows requirement for XP Styles .

Yes, I have that in the manifest as well. However, you can turn visual styles on and off with the API. You can set the manifest to 6.0.0.0, but still compile with say ...

Now you said that the machine was recently re-installed. This could mean the machine is using a very old version of this Microsoft Common Controls dll and this might be causing the problem :?

'Exception' "MDI Window creation failed!" on star

This may be related to
http://www.zeusedit.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3612

I also heavily use the command line (which I gather is currently broken), so I imagine it is related to that.

Since I've cleaned out the default ini file as much as possible, and I'm still getting these, I'm posting this ...

There is now a option to hide these buttons using the Options, Editor Options menu, Micellaneous panel ;)

Hi, thanks. Those check boxes are a great addition - and solves most of my issue. However, they don't make the buttons go away.

The original 3.95 tab interface takes less real estate than ...

Navigator buttons

...could such a feature be included please?

I have added this feature to the Zeus todo list ;)
Hi

Have you made any progress on this? I'm still using 3.95z.

Perhaps an option to use the old tabs might be useful too, but I'm happy to only use just the Workspace in Navigator.

Navigator buttons

Hi

I have just upgraded to version 3.96o. (from 3.95z)

I am hoping that I that I have missed something in the configuration and there is a simple switch to change this:- it is that the Navigator buttons take up too much screen real estate.

I only use the workspace in any event, and so even the ...

Hi

Really cool to have the feature, and it is working generally well for the include files except for that issue, which I am thinking is the double back slashes, for which I send a sample file to you privately I have noticed that the work space does not yet have that feature enabled?

(Bask slash ...

This feature has been added to Zeus and is contained in the latest patch found here: ttp://www.zeusedit.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=975

Hey thanks for that. Strange how something small addition can add a lot of functionality.

As a longer term suggestion:

How about:
1) Changing 'Open' to 'Edit' or ...

Right click 'Open include file' feature request.

Hi

It would be neat to have an 'Open with Association' for include files in the same manor as the work space.

That way in an 'rc' file you could quickly open a bitmap or icon for editing.

When this happens next could you take note of the Zeus RAM usage as listed in the Task Manager. If RAM usage is greatly larger than the Zeus startup RAM usage with the same workspace open this might indicate some sort of memory leak.

Actually, I think that memory usage is a lot more complicated ...

Are you running the Zeus Version 3.95v or higher?

I am running 3.95x and I am generally right up to date.

The shortcut command line is:
"C:\Program Files\Zeus395\Zeus.exe" -s -uC:\Work\Montel\Zeus -iC:\Work\Montel\Zeus\zeus32.ini -wC:\Work\Montel\MonTel32.zwi

Naturally, I have a Zeus32.ini ...

Sometimes after a while...

Hi

None of these are big issues in the sense of causing a loss of productivity with Zeus, but are still a bit of a pain and should be fixed in my view. None of the are apparent when first working with Zeus, and only appear later in the day... Sometimes after a while... (but do occur every day).

Find in files - sets focus on wrong dialog

Hi

When using the menu to 'open/goto' "Find in Files" when both the "Find in Files" and "Find" dialogues are open, the "Find" is changed from translucent and is given the focus instead.
