Jussi, I'm having trouble getting these to work. I have save.lua defined as: -- save testing function key_macro()     message_box(0, "This is save postfix macro!" .. "\n\nArguments: " .. argv(0), "Zeus Trigger Event") end key_macro() -- run the macro and saved in zScript. I edit zeus.ini and change ...

Find Bug in 3.96o

A new bug in 3.96o I've seen - find forward works as expected, but find backwards (i.e. Up) will find the first one and then get stuck, probably finding the same string each time.

Ability to execute a search/replace n times

It would be useful to be able to specify how many times you want a search replacement to be carried out. I believe Brief used to do that, and I recall using it fairly regularly. I know I can apply it to just a marked area, which comes close, but it leaves the marked area in place. This makes it more...

Clipboard Append

If I remember correctly, Brief used to have a keyboard function to append marked text to the clipboard and cut-append marked text to the keyboard. Does Zeus have equivalent capabilities? I haven't been able to find them in the function list. It's possible these were macros, but even so I can't find ...

That would be perfect. File Open and File Save would be what I need to accomplish what I'd like to do.

Unfortunately not. The laguage is COBOL, and the generation step actually merges generated code with the rest of the code and presents it as one source file. That's actually kind of desirable, since the generated code isn't separately compile-able, and it's quite common to have to edit both parts to...

Hooking into Open and Save

I'm looking for a way to hook in to the File Open and File Save functions. I've a program file that is generated by a tool, and then can be modified with an editor. The problem is that some of the code that is generated is simple program code, but it needs to be entered in the tool and is just copie...

More Runtime error aborts

Jussi, If 3.96m is the latest release, then the run-time abort problem is not fixed. I've gotten the MSVC++ Runtime Library error message about a Runtime Error several times over that last week or so as I've ramped up my usage of Zeus after a longish hiatus. The message references zeus.exe, and says...

Additional Info

Jussi, This morning, I got a somewhat different crash. It started with the same message box (run-time error), but it then came up with a Zeus error box telling me to carefully save my file and send in a crash report and files. When I clicked OK, the box went away, then came back. This happened repea...

Additional Info

Jussi,

Since you've found the problem, this might irrelevant, but the problem also occurs at work. It happenned at line 562 or so, and was accompanied by a Windows message stating that Virtual memory was too low and that it was being increased. I hadn't previously seen that message.

Run-time error

Jussi, I tried this on my laptop, and was just about to quit when the error occurred. It was at line 942, so if it should have happened at 170 the situation is improved but not resolved. I'll try it on the machine at work tomorrow (where it's been happening) and let you know, but I try to keep the c...

Run Time Error Woes continue

Jussi, The scriptlua.dll patch has not made the run-time error problem go away, at least for me. I'm getting it 2-3 times a day lately, and I've made sure that the DLL is the new one. I was not running a script at the time, nor had I been running scripts, at least not obviously. I suspect that somet...

TagSearchUndo

Jussi, In some brief testing of TagSearchUndo, it appears to work if there is only a single definition of the tag in the database. When there are multiple definitions, the list of definitions comes up and allows you to choose. After doing that, TagSearchUndo does not appear to work. Am I doing somet...

Jussi, I'll check out the keyboard functions you mentioned - I've used the WindowPreviousFocus (I assume) - it works well when the tag is defined in a different file, not so well when in the same file. Another issue is that it would be nice to have a stack of "back" points. I haven't had a chance to...
