Hi Christian, I would like to use the great looking ZEUS for Python only. However, I am a little bit lost with the configuration. What do I need to configure and how in order to get the great feature like auto-complete, intellisense, class browser and so on. This is what I would do to get a basic co...

Ctags breaks PHP Intellisensing

Unfortunately it appears the Exuberant CTAGS support PHP is not as good as it could be :( Consider the following snippet of PHP code: class MyClass { // the constructor function MyClass() { } // the method function MyMethod($gear) { } }; If this code is saved to a test.php file and parsed by ctags, ...

That is very strange indeed. I guess some of the weird things DOS does with file handles somehow makes it work.

But at least you now have found something that DOS does well :)

Hi Dirk, with a little change the batch runs. That is good news :) @echo off command /c make -f Makefile > makefile.err 2>>&1 type Makefile.err I have to start make in his own enviroment (command /c) otherwise make becomes the error with the duplicated handel. Very nice idea :) I can see how that wo...

In an effort to better understand this bug, I ran a quick search of google for the error message:

DuplicateHandle(In) failed (e=6)

From the results found it appears that Zeus is not the only IDE are having problems with this GNU make utility.

If I use Toos/DosShell the make command works. That rules out the environment variables :( I'm using GNU Make version 3.78.1 compiled for Win32. .... If I disable both it works fine. [Very Happy] As the names of the check boxes suggest, they control what program output Zeus will try to capture. So ...

Which version of windows are you running? When it comes to spawing processes each version of Windows does have a habit of working slightly differently :( To check that it is not some sort of environment variable issue, use the Options Editor Options menu and in the General section turn on the Help d...

I am adding files to a Workspace for the project I am working on. It is a complex project (modules for phpNuke), it has a complexity similar to phpBB; lots of files, lots of directories. ..... Rather than creating the hierarchy in the workspace manually, it would be really great if I could add a di...

Creating a Handcrafted Worskpace

Zeus does offer a GUI interface for a creating project/workspace, but being a new feature, it is still missing some of the more advanced file management features. For simple project structures it works well, but for complex projects spanning many directories and many subdirectories, it can be quite ...

I want to agree with others and say Thank You for this editor. I am glad you find Zeus a useful editor :) A guess the simple features I miss the most are when editing. Things like: The good thing about Zeus is that you can easily re-configure the keyboard to work exactly the way you want by just do...

I am trying to modify the PHP template. Right now one of the User Defined Keywords is a Pattern Match: $*, probably meant to identify variables. The suggested fix of using a new xtags.dll which uses an 8.3 filename sounds like a good solution. However, the current file at http://www.zeusedit.com/z300/xtags.zip does not appear to change this. The xtags.dll was changed but, after some more research into the bug it turns out the changes made w...
