Disable Unwanted Windows Services

Here is an easy way to help find Windows services that are not required, and an easy way to disable these services:
  • Type msconfig into the Windows search field to bring up the System Configuration dialog.
  • Select the Services panel and check the Hide all Microsoft services as shown below:

  • Select any unwanted services and enable/disable the remaining services to suit.
