Actually these possibilities are necessary to me for the sake of them. The matter is that the extensive field of continuous color causes in me discomfort. I tried a great number of source code editors and couldn't understand in any way that me doesn't arrange. Then I casually saw the plain-text editor OmmWriter and only then comprehended. The editor in whom it was possible to establish any faded structure (for example, an interlacing of dark gray and dark-dark gray fibers) as the background image is necessary to me. I look for some days such editor and I can not find. It is ready to pay any money. For example, if SlickEdit such was able, I with pleasure would pay for 300 dollars, that it shameless developers ask for it. But such isn't present. I do not know where still to ask. I despaired already.

I would think that adding in a transparency option into Zeus should not be too difficult. For example most of the dialogs already have this feature.
But I don't know if this will work as well as you expect
But if you send me an e-mail using the button below and if it does turn out to be as easy as I think, then I will send you a version that has a transparent background for you to test.

I spoke too soon
It looks lke the Windows layering feature used by the dialog boxes only works for top level windows (i.e. a window without a parent).
Unfortunately that means adding this feature to Zeus is very difficult

There is text-mode solution -
http://sourceforge.net/projects/console/
The program works by such principle: we appoint a certain color transparent. If any point in a window has such color, it is replaced with color of an underlaying window. I think, I panicked in vain. This ability doesn't need to be built in the concrete application. I will try to write itself universal utility which will fill a window of any application by any texture. I vaguely remember that once long ago saw the utility Nuts & Bolts 98. It was able to do so. But it is hopelessly obsolete, certainly. Matters that it is realizable.
My fast'n'dirty solution -

Thanks for attention. Sorry for boring. I will try to write such program, but I will not be against if someone makes it for me. I ready to pay for comfort.
