Presently, the visual representation of a changed/edited file is subtle: you only get the * at the end of the file name in the Zeus window title. What if the path is too long, answer is you do not see it all.
I suggest changing the Save icon to become a two state one. E.g when the file is modified, its color changes, in addition may be it is good to have the tab with the file name underlines or so.
