problem with template using 3.97f

Post by JackR »

Hi Jussi

I just updated to 3.97f and discovered this bug with templates. If you check the option "Expansion text is a filename", then after the template copies in the external file, it appends the following

* *

This occurs with the all my macros which uses this feature.

Thanks!

I created a simple test template that just imported a 5 line text file and it worked fine for me :?

But I am running the latest beta version found here: http://www.zeusedit.com/z300/ze397g-beta.zip

I would sugget trying out this latest beta version.

If that fails could you then try adding a new simple test template to see if that also fails.

Hi Jussi,

The problem still exists with the beta. I discovered another simpler method to create a similar problem. I made a template I called test whose expansion text is is contained on 2 lines

/**
**/

"Expansion text is filename" is NOT checked.

With the cursor at the beginning of a line, I type
test followed by the space bar and I get

/**
**/ *

Hopefully, you can duplicate this.

Thanks!
Jack

Similar to but not exactly the same as checking "Expansion text is filename". I'm guessing this is a bug unrelated to

This bug should be fixed in the latest version found here: http://www.zeusedit.com/zforum/viewforum.php?f=6

Both of these issue should be fixed in this version ;)

Hi Jussi,

Thanks for the quick response. Beta 19 fixes the problem.
