lose cursor

Inside an editor window, if I switch to overwrite mode by pressing the "insert" key, the cursor disappears. Overwrite works correctly if I can keep track of cursor location. After switching back to insert mode by pressing the "insert button again, the cursor is still invisable. Changing focus to a different window and back restores visable cursor. Note, I do NOT have the cursor line highlighted. This is 100% repeatable.

After I closed all editor windows from the close all cmd in the window menu and then re-opened some windows, the problem is gone. Sorry I didn't think to try that before I reported the issue. I would ignore this thread.

Unfortunately this disappeaing cursor problem has been in Zeus for many years. Over the years I have personally seen this bug on several occasions, but to this day I have not been able to find a way to consistently reproduce the bug :(

No need to apologies. What you are seeing is definitely a bug in Zeus, so I am very happy that you took the time to report it. The only reason this bug has been ignored thus far is that it is so hard to reproduce :(

But as you have seen there are several workarounds :)

If I recall correctly, another workaround is moving the focus away from Zeus to some other application and then moving the focus back to Zeus.
