I've given a copy of Zeus to a co-worker to test and she had problems to get it running.
After installing Zeus she got a system message that the installation is not correct and that re-installing the application might solve the problem. She tried that, but it didn't.
As I had the same version (3.97) installed on a my machine for a short while -- and it did work for me -- I had a look at her installation.
It turned out that zeus.exe (erroneously?) has a reference to the VC.80 runtime in the manifest. After installing the VC 8.0 redistributables on her machine (they were already installed on my machine, that's probably why it worked for me), Zeus worked as expected.
Is this a known problem?
Mike
Install misfired?
Hi Mike,

With this Zeus version the code has moved on to use VC.90 runtimes and the installer even runs the VC.90 rdistribution installation.
But you guessed it, the manifest was not updated to include this new runtime
Thanks for pointing this out. It will be fixed in the next release
Cheers Jussi
As you correctly point out the Zeus manifest points to VC.80 runtime and there in lies the problemIs this a known problem?
