Strange menu bug in 3.96

Hi,

I have installed Zeus 3.96, and was adding/editing some templates to the C/C++ document type. The template files were opened. First I noticed that File->Save All didn't work; I had to save the files one by one. I then created a new workspace to test the templates. After exiting and starting Zeus, I found that neither File->Open nor Workspace->Open Workspace did anything. No reaction, nada. Then my computer suddenly rebooted (something which has never happened before with my current setup).

Zeus starts fine, you can open files in it from windows explorer, but all the "simple" menu choices are nonresponsive. Most choices that opens dialogs still work.

My ZeusErr.log - file contained this line:

[Tue Jan 16 08:04:31 2007] ASSERT "d:\work\zeus3.96\xlib\Xcontrol.cpp" (456) >>

Hoping for a speedy response, as my installation is, well, unusable right now

What a strange buy

I'm not sure what is going wrong, but luckily there is a new 3.96a version being currently tested and it should be ready for release in the next few weeks.

If you want to try out this beta version send an e-mail to:

info@zeusedit.com

with the Zeus Beta 3.96a in the title and I will send you the beta as an e-mail attachment.

But note the beta installer is 7-8 megs in size so if make sure you e-mail account does not have a attachment file limit

The latest Zeus for Windows 3.96a patch hopefully fixes this problem
