window flash on file save...

Greetings,

I still love this editor -- great job (day 16 of 60)...
But...when I save my file (which is often), the contents of the 'function' window flashes, which is a bit distracting. Is there a way to turn that off? (I assume that is because I have the file reparsed every save, but I like it that way -- it helps with my microscopic attention span...

Also, can I reorder the position of the tabs in the workspace window. At the moment, I only use the 'functions' and 'workspace' tabs, and would prefer to not have to skip the 'files' and 'classes' tabs.

Thanks!

Hi Raz,

I am glad to read Zeus is still working well for you :)
But...when I save my file (which is often), the contents of the 'function' window flashes, which is a bit distracting. Is there a way to turn that off? (I assume that is because I have the file reparsed every save, but I like it that way -- it helps with my microscopic attention span...
The reason for the flash is exactly as you predicted. When the file is saved the tags imformation is automatically updated and functions panel, which is derived from the functions tags data, is reloaded using this latest tag information.

I thought that maybe if the automatic tags update on save option was disabled using the Tags File Update Options of the Tags Options menu, this reloading would be also disabled, but unfortunately this is not the case :(

So at present there is no way to stop the reloading of this functions panel :(
Also, can I reorder the position of the tabs in the workspace window. At the moment, I only use the 'functions' and 'workspace' tabs, and would prefer to not have to skip the 'files' and 'classes' tabs.
Unfortunately not :(

I don't think it would be an easy task to make this order configurable, since the order is hard coded into the source. But I will look to add some keyboard functions so that at least the active navigator panel can be changed via a key press.

The amount of screen flashing has hopefully been reduced in the latest Zeus release.
