mouse wheel scrolling bug
mouse wheel scrolling bug
When I scroll any document rapidly with the mouse wheel, the scrolling speed is normal at first then slows dramatically. The my CPU usage spikes upwards of 100% when this is happening. I have a relatively new, powerful PC so I am not quite sure what would cause this. Any thoughts?
Which version of Zeus are you running
There was a problem in the way Zeus was handling the mouse scrolling event, which caused symptoms similar to those you describe.
This bug dated back to when the scrolling feature was first added, some five or six version earlier, but it should have been fixed in the more recent versions.
I ran a test in the latest 3.94a version and it seemed to be working fine.
Cheers Jussi

If I scroll the wheel as fast as possible I can get the cursor to scroll about 100-150 lines in about two to three seconds.
During the scrolling I can get the CPU usage to peak at about 45-50%, but I don't notice any slow down in scrolling
In comparison how many lines does you mouse wheel scroll in a similar period

I downloaded the most recent version about a week ago and am running ZeusEdit on Windows XP Pro x64 on an MSI motherboard. No matter what value I set the Control Panel Mouse-lines-to-skip-on-wheel-tick to it only scrolls one line at a time.
