Hi All,
first post so please be patient with me.
I use Zeus as an sql editor and it is great. A colleague of mine would like to use it for pl/sql development. is this possible and also is it possible to compile his pl/sql code.

Alan
pl/sql compiler
Hi Alan,
Since Zeus is designed to be language neutral it should be definitely be possible to get it to work with the pl/sql language.
At the heart of the Zeus Configuration Model is the Document Type, so the first step is to either create a new document type or alternatively modify the existing SQL Document Type.
NOTE:Since the Document Type is such an important aspect of the Zeus configuration, I strongly suggest taking a little time to understand how it works. If at any time you find yourself confused or lost, just post a question to the forum.
So my suggestion would be to try all the above options and choose the one that works best for you and if at any time you run into a problem just fire up your browser and post a message to this forum.
Cheers Jussi
PS: When setting up new compilers and tools I suggest using the Options, Editor Options menu and checking the Help debug tools macros and executables option.

Because Zeus offers so many ways to run tools, compilers and builders there are many options to choose from. Just of the top of my head here are a few options I would suggest trying:A colleague of mine would like to use it for pl/sql development. is this possible and also is it possible to compile his pl/sql code.
- Using the Document Type to run compilers and tools.
- Using the Project/Workspace approach to run the compiler.
- Integrating iSql using a macros approach.
