Problem with german special fonts

Post by kernbert »

Since 14 years (V270) I have the following problem:
Using äöüßÄÖÜ in Zeus with Fixedsys Lucida Console Lucida Sans Typewriter
and even Courier New (Language default) I see the right characters. But when I use Word or Notepad to give a documentation of my software to my students I see wrong characters and have to replace them. The replaced characters are then displayed wrong in Zeus. Do you know any Font or setup to avoid that?

Hi Herbert,

Wow. It's a long ago time since the days of the Zeus 2.70 version. You must be one of the longest running Zeus users ever :)

As you suggest, I suspect the problem is due to the fact Zeus is using a different font to the other two applications.

So what I would suggest is opening the file (the one that displays wrong) in Zeus and then use the Options, Editor Options Fonts panel to tweak the font settings. Try differnt fonts, but in particular also try the different font language settings (i.e other than the default ASCII).

If that does not work then send me an e-mail with the bad file and a screen shot of how the Notepad displays the text and I will have a go at figuring it out ;)

With the fonts I have no problem so far, even the problem with copy and

paste that I had with 397 disappeared.

(Some characters were created that my assembler could not understand, I

think that had something to do with unicode).

Thanks for the tips.
