Problem starting zeus 3.96n

I have just tried installing Zeus 3.96n and I cannot start zeus now. When I try to start (either by typing the name of the executable or by double clicking the desktop icon) I get a dialog box that says:

Unable to execute file
C:\Program Files\Zeus\zeus.exe

CreateProcess failed; code 14001.

This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem

Any suggestions as to what I can try? Thanks.

I would do this:

1. Rename you current Zeus installation folder to zeus_old
2. Run the full Zeus installer found here: http://www.zeusedit.com/z300/ze32v396n.zip

Now if this works and Zeus starts correctly, I would stop Zeus and copy over you zeus_old\zConfig folder and again see if Zeus will start.

Hi Jussi,

I have just tried that but I am still getting the same dialog box when I try to launch the new version. It's not that important - I kept a copy of the zeus installation directory so I can go back to 3.96m for now. I have checked that 3.96m still works ok.
