In comparing editors I tried one calle Web-Ed, it didn't have line numbers and when I wrote them to see if I was wrong they .... never wrote back.
Others I wrote never wrote back.
I tried many editors.
One - EditPlus2 has excellent printing ability, but poor editing cabability.
But of all I looked at I am the most irritated with AdminScriptEditor (ASE).
When I went to uninstall it, it wiped out my installation of WScript Host.
I temp lost my custom icons for *.vbs files, and when I double clicked on an html file it opened with notepad !
--- I rebooted, no effect.
I re-installed WScript Host and all problems went away, and my custom icons were back.
Appreciate the craft exhibited in Zeus, the ability to customize Zeus is a godsend to anyone who is fussy. Zeus works or you need to ask questions, and you will get honest answers.
The support is the best I have ever seen in any software I have ever installed.
