Zeus displays alternating background colors from line to line.
This includes whitespace (at least under some conditions).
There seems to be a number of conditions. For example, right now I am looking at
whitespace - all the SAME shade of blue
all numbers - white on the same shade of blue as the whitespace
plain text - alternating between white on red and white on a shade of blue slightly different from the whitespace blue (plain text is set to white on red).
Earlier on, I had a condition in which every other line was blank. That seems to have gone away.
I am using Windows 8 (judging from the rest of my experience with Windows 8, this is probably the source of the problem!!!)

Hi Omer,
Based on a request from a user an option was added to Zeus that allowed lines to have alternate background colors. I suspect you are running into this new feature.
In the Color section of the document type there is a Plain Text Alt color category (at the bottom).
Just make sure this is set to the same values as the Plain Text color category (at the top).

I would recommend doing the following:
1) Go to this folder C:\Users\<Your User ID>\AppData\Roaming\Xidicone\Zeus
2) Make a backup copy of the zConfig folder
3) In the color section for the document type try loading different color scheme by selecting a scheme from the top.
4) If that does not work, in the color section for the document type try setting the default values color scheme.
If any of these options work you can save the colors back to a scheme of you own and then you will have to apply this scheme to your other document types.
Don't forget, colors are stored in the document type. This means the condition may come and go depending on the type of document you are editing.
If you still find this is not working just send me you zConfig folder as a zip file and an example file that shows the painting issue.
Cheers Jussi

It might be that you color settings did not upgrade correctlyThere seems to be a number of conditions.

Because Windows 8 does not allow the zConfig folder to be in the c:\Program Files folder, upgrading an existing configuration is a lot more difficultI am using Windows 8 (judging from the rest of my experience with Windows 8, this is probably the source of the problem!!!)

If you still find this is not working just send me you zConfig folder as a zip file and an example file that shows the painting issue.
