zeus is not working with a german keymap... to get braces like { [ ] } you need to press "Alt Gr"+7 "Alt Gr"+8 "Alt Gr"+9 "Alt Gr"+0 and for an @ you need to press "Alt Gr"+Q ... This is an unfortunate Zeus configuration bug :( But fortunately this bug is easy to fix: ) If you do the following: Opt...

By reading all your macros in zScript I'm starting to get the hang
of it.
With a bit of practice I am sure you will soon get the hang of the Zeus macros :)

And if you run into a problem, just post a message to the forum and I will be happy to offer my assistance.

Cheers Jussi

Binding a Macro to the Keyboard

The Zeus keyboard can be re-configured to run either the built-in keyboard functions or user defined macro scripts. Consider the case of binding a macro top the keyboard. As an example take the predefined comment.lua macro found in the zScript directory. This macro adds a line comment for the curren...

Hi Egon, first of all, thank you for this great Editor you've written! Thank you :) There are almost all features implemented a User could need. Removing File Types from the File Open Dialog

The File Open dialog Files of type drop down combo-box contains an entry for every document type defined. The excessive number of document type entries can make this combo-box harder to navigate. Zeus offers two ways to remove unwanted entries from the combo box. The first is to use Options, Documen...

Accelerator Keys for Menu Items and Toolbar Buttons

The Zeus menu does not lists an accelerator key for all menu items, but this does not mean some of the menu items do not have accelerator keys. If fact the opposite is true. Because all toolbar buttons and menu items map directly to keyboard functions, the keyboard remapping feature means it is poss...

I just upgraded to 3.93 but I can't load my (many) existing workspace files. Is there a tool to convert from a .zws to a .zwi workspace file? Zeus will not automatically convert from the older workspace (*.zws) file to the newer project/workskace (*.zpi,*.zwi) files. But you can download a conversi...

Global Search and Replace

Consider a situation where a global change needs to be made to a large number of files. One way to achieve this is to use the xfgrep utility to do the searching and the replace dialog to make the change. As an example consider a case where "int" needs to be changed to "integer" for all c, cpp and h ...

I really like Zeus Edit. If you like using the old Brief keystrokes and simple macro editor, then it is the only game in town. I too was a long time Brief user. My fingers are now hardwired to Brief mode :) So thanks for the great editor (I'm a payed customer) and thanks for the new support forum! ...

Using Norton Guides

To allow Zeus to display Norton Guide help files, a Norton Guide viewer is required.

One such viewer is WEG which can be found here:

http://www.davep.org/norton-guides

It is also possible to integrated these Norton help files into the Zeus Quick Help feature.

HTML to WinHelp Utility

The html2hlp utility can be found here:

http://javadocs.planetmirror.com/htmltohlpe.html

For example the html2hlp utility could be used to convert JavaDoc HTML into a JavaDoc CHM file and the resulting CHM file then configure to work with the Zeus Quick Help.
