Remove Roaming Folder from Roaming Profile

1. Start regedit and go to this key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon 2. Edit the ExcludeProfileDirs key 3. Add AppData\Roaming and any other folders to the value. As an example this value will exclude several folders from that profile: AppData\Local;AppData\L...

Ligature Fonts

The latest version of Zeus adds support for ligature fonts like FiraCode . To better understand what this means consider the following code: <-< <<- <-- <- <-> -> --> ->> >-> <=< <<= <== <=> => ==> =>> >=> >>= >>- >- <~> -< -<< =<< <~~ <~ ~~ ~> ~~> <<< << <= <> >= >> >>> {. {| [| <: ? :> |] |} .} <|...

Re: Creating a Tool's shortcut?

A second option is to define the compiler command line inside the document type using the Options, Document Types menu, editing the C/C++ document type and then entering the compiler command line in the Compiler panel. That compiler command can then be run using the Compile, Compile menu which maps ...

Re: Creating a Tool's shortcut?

The tool is called "Compile" I can execute the tool from the Tools menu successfully but cannot figure out how to add a keyboard shortcut to the tool. There is currently no way to assign a keyboard key combination to a Tool menu item However, what you can do is create a macro to run the c...

Re: upgrade agent svn

The latest Agent SVN is the 2.65 version. So you first need to try the latest Agent SVN 2.65 version and make sure it works with your IDE. You can download that 45 day trial version from this page: http://www.zeusedit.com/agent/download.html If you find that version works with your IDE (which it sho...

Re: Special Characters Change When Saving File

Is this something I'll want global to all my .CSS files or should I just try and set it for one specific file? You have to set it globally (i.e. mark the Zeus CSS document type as UTF-8 with No BOM). You can't set it on a per file basis because doing that mean would mean adding a BOM to the file. W...

Re: Special Characters Change When Saving File

Hi Alan, This is what is going wrong: On Linux text files default to UTF8 without a BOM marker On Windows text files default to ASCII and UTF-8 files need a BOM marker WinSCP will copy the files down in binary mode so the actual contents of the Linux and the Windows files will be identical. However ...

Re: Dynamic Bookmarks

What you describe is currently not possible, because as you point out as lines of text are added or removed, the location of the bookmark is not adjusted accordingly. But I think what you are describing is a bug in how the bookmarks currently work :( I will look into this and see if is possible to c...

Re: Special Characters Change When Saving File

Hi Alan, but when I copy the same file onto my Windows box, the file gets corrupted. How are you copying the files to the machine :?: File type is ANSI and EOL marker is Unix (just the \n I believe). I'm not sure this is correct :?: Since you are using a Linux machine the files on that machine will ...

Re: Backup destination using Macro Tags

I got the following tag by searching for Macro Tags in the Zeus help: $Date<d-MMM-yyyy> As a test I set the backup folder to the following using the Editor Options, Backup settings: c:\temp\Backup\$Date<d-MMM-yyyy> For me that test created the correctly dated folder and made the backup file in that ...

Re: The exact meaning of Line, Column and Block Mode

The problem is some of my files have thousands of lines and this scrolling up or down through a large file with the mouse takes lots of time. For a scenario like this, it is always easier to use the keyboard (or menu) to do the marking and not the mouse. You do this marking as follows: 1. Place the...
